Berry and Hunt

Pioneer Building

The Pioneer Building has been the centerpiece of Downtown Chattanooga's Financial District since its construction in 1962. It was originally the headquarters for Pioneer Bank which underwent a series of mergers in 2000. By the end of the merger process, the new owners of the bank did not want to own the real estate and it was placed on the market, along with two companion properties and a parking structure.

A real estate investment group, led by Berry & Hunt, purchased all four properties and preserved the tenant relationships that began 40 years prior. As a tribute to the original owners of the building, the iconoclastic "Pioneer Man" sculpture was returned to the building lobby.

Today, the Pioneer Building remains the heart of Chattanooga's Central Business District and is home to some of the city's most respected attorneys and professional services firms. True to its heritage, the building is now the Chattanooga headquarters of Pinnacle Financial Partners, Grace Healthcare, and the DeFoor Brothers Development, among other respected firms.

The top floor of the Pioneer Building will become available for lease on August 1, 2017 offering over 15,000 square feet of efficient office space on one level.
